Do Liverpool or Manchester City have an easier Premier League fixture list to end the season?

Will Liverpool or Manchester City win the Premier League title? That is the questions supporters are asking themselves after Liverpool extended their Premier League lead to seven points on Saturday. Jurgen Klopp’s team saw off Brighton with a 1-0 win thanks to a Mohamed Salah penalty.

Manchester City, on the other hand, will play Wolverhampton Wanderers tonight at the Etihad Stadium. Wolves picked up a 1-1 draw with Manchester City at the Molineaux in their earlier meeting. Nuno Espirito Santo’s side is coming off of a 2-1 FA Cup win over Liverpool.

Wolves shouldn’t be taken lightly, but the Cityzens have won their last two matches — both cup games — by a combined scored of 16-0.

Does Liverpool or Manchester City have an easier Premier League fixture list?

After tonight’s match between Manchester City and Wolverhampton, there will be 16 matches remaining for both Liverpool and Manchester City.

If Pep Guardiola’s team can pick up all three points at the Etihad, they will once again be four points back of Liverpool.

Both clubs will renew their Champions League engagements in February. But Manchester City are the only side to still be in both the League Cup and FA Cup, theoretically giving Klopp’s Reds a chance to concentrate on the league title.

The cup fixtures could take plenty of energy out of each club’s title fight and there is still plenty of room for either to slip up in the Premier League.

Liverpool or Manchester City: Which fixture list is more difficult?

It is hard to claim one team’s match schedule is more difficult than the other. However, Liverpool have already played Arsenal and Manchester City. The Reds will still face Manchester United, Chelsea, and Tottenham with two of those games coming at Anfield.

Manchester City must still play Arsenal, Chelsea, and Tottenham at the Etihad. The Cityzens, like Liverpool, must still visit Old Trafford.

The title will hinge on which team can navigate the waters of these tricky fixtures. But Manchester City’s games against Everton and West Ham should be looked over.

In a four-match span, Manchester City will play Arsenal, Chelsea, Everton, and West Ham. Could this be the point the Cityzens slip up?
