The Red Devils have won five consecutive games in all competitions with four of those victories coming in the Premier League. However, Solskjaer’s great start has been offset by the fact all four wins came against clubs currently 12th or lower in the Premier League.

Will Paul Pogba be fit to play?

The Red Devils have been in Dubai completing a warm weather training camp ahead of their top six clash at Wembley. Midfielder Paul Pogba is in a race for fitness after suffering an injury against Newcastle in Manchester United’s most recent Premier League fixture.

Pogba had originally stayed in Manchester to recover from his injury but joined up with the club in the United Arab Emirates to take part in training sessions.

Since Solskjaer took over the reins of Manchester United, Pogba has been in the best form of his career at Old Trafford. Pogba has tallied four goals and three assists in his last four Premier League games.

The Frenchman now has seven goals and six assists this season. Yet, only since manager Jose Mourinho was sacked has Pogba been able to play with the freedom he has dreamed of having as a Red Devil.

Manchester United faces further injuries

Paul Pogba’s fitness isn’t the only worry Solskjaer has ahead of Sunday’s game. Marcos Rojo is injured and is expected to be sidelined for some time. Centre-back Chris Smalling is suffering from an injured foot and a late decision will be made on his fitness.

Meanwhile, Eric Bailly is suspended for the clash against Tottenham.

The good news for Solskjaer is Alexis Sanchez is expected to play. The Chilean suffered a hamstring strain in the club’s 2-0 FA Cup win over Reading.

Sanchez was dropped by former manager Mourinho due to poor form. Expectations are high Sanchez could become one of Manchester United’s stars and recover his form — like Pogba — under Solskjaer.
